Companies House has confirmed a delay to new identity verification requirements for individuals submitting documents on behalf of companies. The measures, introduced under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, will now take effect from November 2026. The delay allows Companies House to prioritise the rollout of identity checks for directors and people with significant control before extending the regime to document presenters.
